Modern registries are increasingly dynamic, keeping data up to date to support evidence-based policy decisions, improve data accuracy, streamline processes, and enable more effective benefit delivery for citizens.
More Than a Database

OpenG2P Registry is an advanced registry system designed to support the implementation of functional registries. It provides reliable, high-quality data that powers the delivery of public and private services while improving accuracy, transparency, and trust across digital systems.

As a core component of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), it serves as a trusted, shareable single source of truth for citizens and other entities. By enabling interoperability across systems, it supports scalable digital ecosystems and lays the foundation for adaptive, inclusive, and coordinated service delivery for governments and citizens.

Registry for Agriculture

An increase in food production for a growing global population requires stronger support for smallholder farmers, who produce nearly one-third of the world’s food yet often remain invisible to formal systems. A farmer registry helps governments identify and reach farmers more effectively, enabling better targeting of subsidies, extension services, finance, and market access.

By creating a trusted, unified record of farmers, registries reduce fragmented data across land records, support programs, and agricultural services, forming the foundation for a more resilient and inclusive agricultural ecosystem.

OpenG2P’s Solution
Farmer Registry that contributes to a Farmer Profile
OpenG2P is supporting efforts to establish a single, reliable source of farmer data, enabling targeted agricultural services and strengthening Ethiopia’s digital agriculture ecosystem, including integration with Agrinet. OpenG2P’s Registry module, linked with other databases, provides a comprehensive solution for a Farmer Profile.

Designed for scale, the Farmer Registry is planned to expand to 15 million farmers nationwide and is integrated with Fayda ID, ensuring trusted identity verification and interoperability across agricultural services.
