OpenG2P was delighted to participate in the DPGA Annual Members Meeting (AMM) held from November 24–26, 2025, in Brasília, Brazil. Hosted by the DPGA Secretariat in collaboration with the Government of Brazil, the gathering brought together governments, DPGs, and a diverse range of ecosystem partners to exchange ideas on discovering, developing, deploying, and investing in digital public goods.

Shibu Narayanan, Head of Engineering at OpenG2P, had the opportunity to showcase our work, exchange ideas with colleagues, and engage in discussions to explore new possibilities for partnership and collaboration at the DPG Fair, featuring DPGs from around the world.

Across three days of roundtables and workshops, the event worked to strengthen the global DPG ecosystem, concentrating on the sustainability and scalability of DPGs, their role in building safe and inclusive DPI, and their contribution to climate action. Participants explored the evolving role and relevance of DPGs, especially in the context of rapidly advancing agentic AI. Countries presented their data-sharing platforms, and DPGA country members exchanged implementation experiences and reflected on lessons learned through their failures in their adoption journeys. The insights gained will help de-risk implementation and design more resilient DPI systems.

The conversations reinforced the importance of open collaboration, shared learning, and cross-country cooperation in advancing impactful digital public goods.
“Events like the DPGA AMM help us see how we can contribute meaningfully, not just through technology, but also shared learnings and partnerships. It was encouraging to experience the collaborative spirit of the DPG community.”
